“This year’s edition is extra special as the June Fair marks its 30th anniversary of serving the industry and building up relationships. We are pleased to announce that the June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair welcomed 25,652 unique visitors from 103 countries and regions in four days, an increase of 3.2% in visitor numbers compared to last year, ” said Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs, UBM Asia.
“The top five countries that saw a growth in visitor numbers were China, the Philippines, Israel, India and the UK. Of these five countries, China, Israel and India are exhibited among the 18 group pavilions,” said Ms Lau. The June Fair featured 2,051 exhibitors from 40 countries/regions in over 70,000 square metres of exhibition space. Below is the distribution of visitor numbers confirming the Fair’s international profile:
• The total number of visitors over four days reached 25,652. These visitors, from 103 countries and regions, made 45,275
visits during the four days
• Visitors from outside Hong Kong totalled 16,204, accounting for 63% of the total number of visitors. Hong Kong-based visitors totalled 9,448, accounting for 37% of the total number of visitors
• The Top 10 sources of visitors from outside Hong Kong and mainland China were India, Taiwan region, the Philippines, Japan, Korea, Thailand, USA, Singapore, Australia, and the Russian Federation.

“It was great that we met many new buyers this time; new contacts accounted for about 30% of the total number of buyers we met during the show. As a manufacturer and wholesaler of diamonds and fine finished jewellery, we attend every jewellery fair organised by UBM Asia. We are happy with our sales, we made US$70,000 in the first two days of the Fair. Our buyers came mainly from China. We met some buyers from the USA, who are our target buyers.
